StAlbansSecondaryCollegeopenedasStAlbansHighSchoolin1956,theyearoftheOlympicGamesinMelbourne. TheCollegeisproudofitshistoryastheoriginalsecondaryschoolinthearea,andofitscontinuingroleasaneducationalfocalpointwithinthecommunity.
